Easy Montana Medical Card Registration
To participate in the Montana Medical Marijuana Program, patients must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Montana resident
- Have a valid Montana ID, Driver’s License, or Tribal ID
- For minor patients, additional documentation is required, including:
- A parent or guardian’s Montana ID, Driver’s License, or Tribal ID
- The minor’s birth certificate
- Two physician signatures as required by Montana state law

What Happens After Approval?
Once your application is approved and registered with the state:
- You will receive a 60-day temporary medical marijuana card
- Your official Montana medical marijuana card will be mailed within 7–10 days
- Your card is valid for one year
This allows you to access medical cannabis legally while waiting for your physical card to arrive.
